Cinema Falls pioneered the effort to bring the Oscar Nominated Shorts program to South Dakota eight years ago. This year, more than 500 screens across North America, Europe, Latin America, South Africa and Australia will participate. The five nominated documentary shorts will not only include five compelling films, but give you a sense of what’s happening in cinema right now – new techniques, new ways of storytelling – and the nominees show you the top young talents. This program is generally not rated, though generally for aged 16+ mature viewers due to language, content, themes, and length of program.

We recognize that you may not be able to attend the entire program, but if you must exit, we ask that you do so between films.
