Cinema Falls pioneered the effort to bring the Oscar Nominated Shorts program to South Dakota nine years ago. This year, more than 500 screens across North America, Europe, Latin America, South Africa and Australia will participate. The five nominated documentary shorts will not only include five compelling films, but give you a sense of what’s happening in cinema right now – new techniques, new ways of storytelling – by top young talents internationally. This program is not rated, however we recommend that it is best suited for those aged 16+ who are mature viewers due to language, content, themes, and length of program.

We recognize that you may not be able to attend the entire program, but if you must exit, we ask that you do so between films.
